Museum De Waag is part of Deventer Verhaal. Deventer Verhaal is the heritage partner of Deventer. Since 2014, they have been committed to the visibility, appreciation and preservation of the municipal heritage.

They have the mission to share the rich history of the beautiful Hanseatic city of Deventer with a wide audience. They do this with a varied and attractive program of exhibitions and activities in Museum De Waag and the Toy Museum, but also at other locations in the city and surrounding villages.

As an independent and connecting heritage partner, they also work closely with other Deventer organizations and annually organize various events such as Open Monument Day, Kelderfest and Nacht van Goud.
