Age-old Deventer has appealed to visitors for centuries. The city delights with a combination of it's location on the IJssel, the historical city centre and its lively activity.

It is with good reason that Deventer has stimulated the imagination of many artists. It's appearance, as well as the way it is depicted have changed considerably over the centuries.
