Permanent exhibition

On the second floor, in a permanent exhibition, we show an overview of Deventer's history in a nutshell.

Here, the city's history of origin, the Hanseatic period with its trade and markets, as well as the crafts of silversmiths and the famous cake bakers are covered. Later, Deventer became a real industrial city with, among other things, tin and textile industries. You will also find special objects from this period.
